On the 6th November, the Makerspace hosted 18 Cub-Scouts and their group leaders, to learn about electronics and soldering, by making a tiny circuit board project with resistors, capacitors, transistors and LED (lights). The 7-10 year-olds successfully completed their projects and when connected to a battery, the 2 LEDs alternated between on and off – flashing lights. With so many youngsters in the Makerspace at one time, we had to split up the group, so half of them spent time in the Metal Arts Studio, making jewelry – copper pendents. We hope to have them back soon, in order to complete their group experience.
